Mitchell Point

There was an unusual tunnel at this location on the original Historic Highway. Sadly, the tunnel was demolished to make way for route 84. The story is on the sign I included here.

It is still a good place to get the big view of the Columbia River. I hope to have a day of clear skies on my next visit, so I can fly out and get a sunlit panorama.
