Mineral Bottom on the Green River

On that satellite image, the next look South of Bow Knot is a section of the river known as Mineral Bottom or Woodruff Bottom. It is the loop going out to the West at the bottom in the satellite image.

To reach the riverside, however, one must go down another white-knuckle road carved into the side of the cliff as at Shafer Trail.

I put in a still photo looking down on the path the road follows, then four segments of the drive. Meeting an oncoming vehicle half-way down came at no extra cost.

Still, it was worth the trip, with the colossal arch and such a huge scene all to oneself.
