5 Bears Ears
Southern Utah Summer 2018Nearly forty miles North of the Moki Dugway, we turn left on Route 95 toward Hite. We soon see the Bears Ears buttes atop a mesa.
The road up to the Bears Ears also leads to Natural Bridges National Monument, but drones are banned there.
Most people never heard of them until the Obama Administration did a vast taking of land around them. That taking was later shrunk by 85% by the new administration. Driving along in an immense undeveloped raw land with very few people, one can see the arguments on either side.
