9 Comb Ridge Near Bluff
Southern Utah Summer 2018Comb ridge runs for eighty miles, and is the result of a collision of tectonic plates, when one plate ran under and uplifted another. Butler Wash runs on the eastern side of the ridge, accommodating many campers and hikers. I did try to reach the river Ruin at the southern end of the ridge at the San Juan river, but road was so bad I turned back. This is not a place one wants to be stuck…
