During my July visit, I chased speed boats pulling happy tubers all over the lake here.
In mid-September, the lake was practically deserted, so I flew the outlet flume and the canyon below the dam.

When I came upon the statuary along the cliff, I was immediately reminded of the pharaonic statures in Egypt, each statue with its face chiseled off by succeeding pharaohs. Nature imitates politics. Or something.
