2 Wind River Canyon
Wyoming Summer 2021

The canyon runs North and South between the towns of Shoshoni and Thermopolis in Wyoming. It is renowned for its scenic high cliffs towering above the river, and the tunnels bored for the train tracks and highway which you see in these images.

In mountain country, roads and train tracks always seem to follow river canyons—a path of least resistance that favors us photographers.
