This dam is on the San Carlos River as the river flows through the southern portion of the reservation. Only a few visitors stop at this time of year, and the clouds were thin enough to allow good-quality sunlight on the scene.

While I had the drone out flying over the dam, a nice man named Dood stopped to chat. He told me I should go to the San Carlos Memorial on my way back to the highway. I’m delighted that he did, because his directions were superb, and I had some enchanted moments at the site (next gallery).
