When Mr. Dood struck up a conversation during my drone flight at Coolidge Dam, he described this memorial on the original site of San Carlos. The more he told me, the more interested I became. Mr Dood whipped out his phone, launched a local map and showed me the dirt roads to reach it.

Following the roads as he described them, I reached the site and had it all to myself. I wish the sky had been blue and the sunlight bright, but we work with what we have. It is a distinguished creation in a revered location.
